home security company

Vivint is refusing to cancel our home security even after I provided Official PCS orders and supporting documents that Vivint requested. In June 2008, my wife and I were greeted by a salesman, Trevor Moses Agent Reg: 32921 who worked for an home security company. Unfortunately we were mislead by his sales tactics and signed an agreement to have APX ALARM Currently VIVINT to secure our home. My wife mentioned that I am serving in the military and that we may leave for another AF assignment before our contract expires in 2013. Moses simply stated that all we have to do is call Vivint to cancel our home security services due to my Air Force obligations and that it would not be a problem. Just this past August 3+ yrs later, I was notified of a new assignment, in a different state. My wife made a call to Vivint to request assistance in terminating our home security due to my permanent change of station PCS. She was told that we have to fax a “NOTICE OF CANCELLATION” form that was provided and a copy of my official AF PCS orders w/ a date Report no later than date indicating when I will physically be on my new duty assignment. I wanted me and my family to get a started w/ our move to our new location. I scheduled to have my final outprocessing done on late AUG from my previous duty station. I didn’t want to get charged for the month of SEP since we were no longer going to live in our home so my wife called Vivint again to see what we can do to avoid getting billed for the month of SEP.

alarm companies san antonio

We were able to use our tablets we normally leave at home to easily monitor our little pup for free. We can always see how he is doing from our phones and even talk through the microphone to calm him down or just to check in before we get home. The night mode feature helps us tremendously since he is a black lab and hard to spot sometimes. The app also lets us swap through accounts easily to switch our viewing tablets and lets us know our battery percentage at all times. I’d highly recommend Alfred to anyone with a need to monitor their pet. Also, the motion detection feature along with instant notifications to your phone make it a solid choice for baby and house monitoring as well. I have used this app off and on for almost two years. I don’t like the recent upgrades that limited the amount of time movement is recorded. The app used to stop recording at a certain point and pick right back up because it defected there was still movement, not any more. The kids can leave the view of the camera, it stops recording but does not pick them back up when the walk back into the view of the camera, they made it through the living room into the kitchen. Both rooms are in the view.

You might also consider window and door sensors, environmental sensors for smoke and water intrusion, a control panel with a panic button and two way talk feature, and any home automation equipment you choose. If you travel often, your needs will focus more on being able to remotely access, monitor, and control your home security and home automation features. For example, if you travel, you might need to remotely unlock your doors for family or guests, turn your lights on and off to make it look like you’re home, turn your thermostat up if an extended freeze is expected, high quality security cameras and doorbell cameras to monitor your home and property while you’re not there. You will also want all the basic security equipment as well, such as a control panel, window and door sensors, motion detectors, environmental protection sensors to protect your home from intruders or potential disasters such as a fire or pipe break, etc. If you are a senior, there are some extra security and home automation features you might consider in addition to the basics. For example, if you have mobility issues, you will probably want as many home automation features as you can get your hands on. These will allow you to remotely access, monitor, and control your entire home security system and much of your home’s equipment such as door locks, window blinds, small appliances, thermostat, garage door, and more. Having such features will enable you more flexibility with remote or voice controls and without having to physically handle these systems manually. Perhaps you have been exposed to a traumatic event such as being stalked, attacked, or cyber bullied, etc. at some point in your life and you just want something to make you feel more secure. In this case, you will probably want a security system that has a quality control panel with a panic button, loud siren, two way talk feature, high quality surveillance cameras with real time recordings and cloud storage, a doorbell camera, and some home automation features that will enable you to monitor and control your system remotely.
